Connections Remade as Notebook User reviews 22 Review. Top review. Warm, touching and funny. Teacher's Diary, is a typical Thailand drama movie, with a common concept. At the beginning, I laughed a lot while watching this, considering a drama, it contains quite a handful jokes with a good proportion. After a considerable amount of jokes, then comes the serious part, even though the serious part already coming, they still giving some jokes element in the middle, this is quite good actually, because the jokes aren't overriding the drama element and the romance as well.
The plot itself, usually I got to guess the ending correctly just by watching the beginning and middle part of a movie, but this one is unpredicted, well all in all this is a good movie.
The characters connection, from one another makes us watchers feel a warm and sometimes touched by the reality shown in this movie floating school for poor people. Details Edit. The film was dedicated to the memory of Armand Jones, who was killed after wrapping up Freedom Writers. He was 18 and was shot to death in Anaheim, California after a confrontation with a man who robbed Jones of a necklace in a Denny's restaurant. In in Long Beach, California, Erin Gruwell has been accepted to teach English for at-risk students at Woodrow Wilson High School—a once highly acclaimed school which has declined since voluntary integration had been enforced and where racial tensions have increased since the Los Angeles riots two years prior.
Erin struggles to form a connection with her students and observes numerous fights between some of them, who are in rival gangs.
One night, Latina student Eva Benitez goes to a convenience store while her boyfriend Paco, who is a fellow gang member, and two other friends stay in the car. Eva's classmate and rival Sindy Ngor, who is a Cambodian refugee, her boyfriend, and another friend also enter the store.
African-American student Grant Rice Armand Jones , frustrated at losing an arcade game, demands a refund from the store owner. As Grant storms out, Paco, as retaliation for losing a fight against him earlier during a massive brawl at school, attempts a drive-by shooting to kill him, but misses and accidentally kills Sindy's boyfriend while Grant flees the scene and is later arrested for the murder.
As a witness, Eva must testify in court; she intends to guard 'her own' in her testimony. At school, Erin intercepts a racist drawing by one of her Latino students and utilizes it to teach the class about the Holocaust, which everyone, except Caucasian student Ben Samuels, has no knowledge of.
She gradually begins to earn their trust and buys composition books for them to use as diaries, in which they talk about their experiences of being abused, seeing their friends die, and being evicted.
Determined to reform her students, Erin takes on two part-time jobs to pay for more books and activities, and spends a lot more time at school, much to the disappointment of her husband. A transformation is specifically visible in one student, Marcus. Erin invites various Jewish Holocaust survivors to talk with her class about their experiences and requires the students to attend a field trip to the Museum of Tolerance.
The students start to realize that being rivals against each other, just because of their race, should not be a reason to prohibit their friendships with one another. Ganoon din ang karakter na binigyang buhay ni Boonyasak, misteryosa at palaban. May sariling opinyon sa buhay at higit sa lahat, mahal niya ang pagtuturo. Naiwasan sana ito kung binigyan din nila ng sariling kuwento ang iba pang batang bida rin ng palabas tutal ay apat lang naman sila. Sa diary nag-focus ang pelikula at sa development ng karakter ng bida.
Maganda ang naging build-up ng love story nila Song at Ann at sulit ang naging ending nito. Ang naging problema ko lang dito, sa mga dramatic scenes ni Boonyasak ay hindi mo dama ang sakit na nararamdaman niya dahil hindi tumatagos sa mga mata ang emosyong kaniyang ipinapakita sa kabila ng mga luhang pumapatak mula rito. Overall ay magkakaroon ka ng masayang karanasan sa panonood ng Teacher's Diary. Mayroon itong napakagandang kuwento at makulit na cast.
Bibigyan ka ng aral at inspirasyon at higit sa lahat ay bubuksan nito ang iyonh mga mata sa ibang buhay na malayo sa ating nakagisnan.
